Big changes are in store for The Oregon
Cat Project in 2012. With 400 cats rescued in our first year and we are
looking at 1000+ in this, our second year, we have decided to set the
bar a little higher for the coming new year.
Visibility remains our biggest obstacle here at The Oregon Cat Project,
so we have decided to take our show on the road and we cant do it
without you. Beginning late spring, we plan to have our new mobile
adoption center hit the road, complete with kitties, to spread the word
of rescue, adoption, and spay and neuter. Funding for this project
should run approximately $50,000 for the bus, its remodel, wrap, and a
full tank of gas. Portland has nothing like this and we will be the
cat's meow, so to speak. We will be on the road at least 20 days a month
showcasing our cats and offering resources and advice for cats in need
at malls, seasonal events, and even the local grocery store.
Please, please open your heart and your wallet and contribute whatever
you can to make this happen by April 2012. Our goal is to become the
largest feline only rescue in Oregon/Washington in this, our third year,
but we can not do it without you and your contribution.
For donations of $250 or more,
your name or your pet's name (dogs welcome, too - we don't discriminate)
will be posted on board the bus as a sponsor.
Naming rights and a picture of your cat on the bus will go to the largest contributor over $10,000
Help us bring the cats to their new families and get us on the road.
